Golden Tulip Westlands Nairobi

My wife and I stayed at the Golden Tulip for seven nights to celebrate a special birthday, and our experience was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The food at the restaurant was delicious and offered great value for money. A special thanks to Front Desk Manager Ashish Kamal, who was consistently helpful with excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities around Nairobi. We’re also very grateful to Mercy for arranging a birthday cake for my wife, which made her day even more memorable. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our visit by an additional two nights. Ashish kindly arranged another upgrade to an executive suite—an amazing way to conclude our trip.

As someone who frequently travels to Nairobi, this has truly become my go-to accommodation. The bedrooms are spacious and well-appointed, the staff are consistently fantastic, and the facilities are both welcoming and reliable. It genuinely feels like a home away from home. If you're looking for a comfortable, safe, and dependable place to stay during your trip to Nairobi, look no further, this is the place.

The staff at check-in were superb and were very accommodating to any requests. The barman on the rooftop bar was also great. The staff at the restaurant were a bit slow and a couple of the ladies were not very helpful. The hotel is well-located and we had no problem grabbing an Uber from the hotel. I would definitely upgrade to a Superior Room as the view from the room is significantly better than the non-superior rooms. They have a great gym with sauna and steam room. Breakfast was fine but more fruit options would be even better. There's a great little mall only 100m from the hotel with a good food court - it was called Broadwalk Mall. Overall, a great place to stay if you're planning on doing day trips from Nairobi.

The staff at the bar, reception, and restaurant are consistently positive and helpful, always willing to provide assistance when needed.
